A New Jacket

Dear Hadley.

We love you so! You are walking everywhere! Doing so good. You still don't have any shoes, but don't worry mommy has that covered. I am just waiting on the Mailman now! I bought you some black Patton shoes, glitter toms, and Ugg type boots in both brown and black.

I wanted to tell you a funny story. Well, maybe not so funny to your dad, but you should know it. Tonight your dad came home from work bragging about this new special black jacket from Halcon he had received today. As I was in your brothers room (we were in the small town home) I hear your dad from the next room say..."What happened here!" "Oh gosh that's so gross!" Hadley, you threw up all over your dad's brand new jacket! I couldn't help but laugh and I felt bad that I did, but it truly was funny. Your dad responded with a "It's not funny" and "I guess you will have to wash it now, but don't dry it" comment. Don't worry he still adores you even if you puked all over his brand new jacket.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't know about anyone else, but I really loved our low key Thanksgiving this year. Scott had 5 days off to spend time with us at home. It's always so much easier with the kids with two of us around to share parent duties. Thanksgiving morning my dad and I ran in the 5k Katy Dash. This is the third year to do it, and I think it's a tradition. Next year, the kids will be old enough to do the 1 mile walk too! Should be fun!

We spent a few hours with my parents afterwards and had a nice hot bowl of Chili and frosted sugar cookies with sprinkles just for Scotty.  Then we all got a nap! That doesn't happen enough! On Saturday, we spent the day over at Scott's dads and my parents joined. There we had the big traditional Thanksgiving meal! It was very enjoyable to be with family. I am SO thankful for my family. Below is a few pictures I snapped of the kids before lunch. Hadley was just starting to walk and she is so proud of herself!

Scotty Turns 3!

Well, another year has passed! Scotty is now 3! Where does the time go...seriously?! SLOOO-DOWN!  We had Scotty's party at Westwood gymnastics this year per request of Scotty with a baseball theme. "Mommy, I want to jump in the blocks!"  "Mommy, who is coming to my party?" "Will Dean be there?" "Will Emmy be there?" "Who else?" I have never seen Scotty so fired up! All of his friends and ours  came to celebrate and be a part of his very special day. He had a wonderful time jumping, CLIMBING,  and playing rough just as boys LOVE to do. My sweet boy can be a little shy and as everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Scotty, he ducked his head with a smile and covered his face. Slightly embarrassed and shy that everyone was signing to him. Probably my favorite moment of his party. Happy birthday sweet boy! We love you lots and can't wait to watch you eat more birthday cake (icing) for many years to come!!!!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Happy Fall everyone! We hope you enjoyed it as much as our family did. Despite packing for our move, we made time to have some fun! We went to the pumpkin patch, carved a pumpkin, trick or treating, and enjoyed one of our last  family dinners here at Isthmus Cove on Halloween eve. This year Scotty was a Cardinal baseball player as he continues to love baseball, and Hadley was a cute little Cheetah! This year we hit every house in our neighborhood and we have lot's of candy to prove it! Scotty had a blast! I think Hadley had just as much fun watching brother.

" I wuv You Mommy."

We had such a great day today. Scotty was so much fun after school while my sweet baby girl napped. I Wuv (love) you, I Wuv you mommy, mommy I Wuv you. Oh, goodness! I doubt I would ever get sick of hearing those three words together. Acorn hunting, bike riding, and movie watching fun today! I really need days like these. Scotty, I will always Wuv you!

The Nasty Bug

SO, the kiddos got the stomach flu. Wow. I wasn't expecting Hadley to get the throw up bug so soon. Scotty was 2.5 before he threw up, but Hadley just 1! Sunday night around 8:30, Scotty is getting into bed and Dad  yells..."Honey, throw up everywhere." These are SUCH dreadful words. I hate throw up! I have a fear of it. If someone says "I don't feel good," I get scared.  I find it repulsive and frankly I never knew once I had kids how I could ever clean up or be around vomit.  Is this subject making your stomach turn yet?  It is mine. My stomach has been upset for days! Poor Hadley was so sick. I held her for 4 hours so I would be there when/if she got sick again. She was so upset. She just didn't understand what was going on. The minute I finally got her back into bed, I hear Scotty sick in the next room. What a night!  The poor child was sick every 10-15 min for about 9 hours! Yes, 9 hours.....I thought it would never end. At 4:30 in the morning, I finally got Scott up to take care of Scotty. I hadn't slept one wink. Back to, " I never knew once I had kids how I could ever clean up or be around vomit." Well, I just do it. I totally rock it. Yes I said that. I really can't believe how well I can handle it! I find it amazing...

NOW, onto a slightly funny story. Scotty fell asleep on the couch in the game room upstairs. I was downstairs visiting with my sister-in-law. We hear a loud thud. We thought Scotty had gotten up from his nap, but then when we didn't hear him,  we figured it was the roofers who happened to have just shown up. About 10 minutes later I go upstairs to check on Scotty, only to find him sound asleep on the floor!!! Blanket halfway on the couch, halfway on the ground. Poor baby MUST have been tired!

Chevron and Silhouettes, Hadley Turns 1!

It has been such a long time since I have been on the blog, I almost forgot the password! Anyway....

Chevron and Silhouette themed parties have been all the rage this season, so since I love them both I thought it was a perfect theme for Hadley's big 1 year birthday party! Hadley's celebration started with a trip to the Children's Museum  and the following day a family dinner and celebration at our home. We all had such a wonderful time. I can't believe my little girl is 1. We head to the doctor's this week for her 1 year check up! Can't wait to see how much my little girl has grown.
